How Reviews Work on Handi (and Why They Are Actually Trustworthy)

Every Handi review is tied to a completed job — not an anonymous drive-by. Here is how we keep the system honest and how you can use it to hire better.

Anyone who has bought something online knows review fatigue: five-star drive-bys, paid-for 10-word raves, competitors trashing each other. Handi reviews work differently.

Reviews are anchored to completed jobs

You can only review a provider after a job has been marked complete by both parties. No random one-star "I saw his profile and did not like the photo". No five-star bot farms. Every review links to the actual work that was done.

Providers can respond publicly

A one-sided review is a bad review. Providers can reply once to each review — visible to everyone. A calm, professional response to criticism is often a stronger trust signal than the original review itself.

Repeat reviewers are rare, deliberately

We flag reviews from accounts that consistently post at opposite ends of the spectrum. If every review from a given seeker is a 1 or a 5, the admin team takes a look.

The rating number is not the whole story

Look at the distribution. Ten 4-star reviews is a more honest signal than fifty 5-stars. A provider with occasional 3-star reviews plus professional responses usually outperforms a spotless profile with no criticism at all.

Our admin team spot-checks new reviews daily. Found one that does not look right? The flag icon on any review opens a report we read within one business day.
